11 - DOUBLE
Cleopatra is falling through the underground corridors, she manages
to grab onto a ledge where an betrayer waits. The betrayer demands
that Cleo return to the factory. Cleopatra gives her the slip and
continues running. She eventually makes her way back to the bar
where Hel and Sarge are. Cleopatra explains how she has escaped
from a betrayer factory. Hel and Sarge laugh, as they belive Cleopatra
is making a joke. Then Cleopatra comes face to face with Cleopatra
herself.
Hel and Sarge are suspicious, as one of these Cleo's is a betrayer.
However both Cleo's claim to be 'Cleopatra' and as the betrayer
has Cleopatra's memories the situation is tough. Both Cleopatra's
are put in containment fields and are taken back to Mauser's lab.
Mauser decides to run a test which will scan their carbon tissue,
the real Cleopatra should show the correct age whilst the betrayer
should only be a few weeks old. The scan proves successful and the
Cleopatra who is only a few weeks old is blasted away by Hel, however
this 'betrayer' begins to bleed blood. The team are surprised, have
they killed the wrong one? The tests were accurate this must be
a new betrayer design, just then the fallen cleo betrayer sends
out a distress signal which Mauser is quick to block.
Over
time the betrayer cleo begins to repair herself, much later than
betrayers normally do. Hel speculates that she must not have been
given all of her programming yet. As the betrayer cleo comes to
she still doesn't believe that she is a betrayer, she is shown her
healing wound and is confused. Meanwhile Sarge sets the manual alarm
as they await a betrayer invasion. As Sarge begins to return, she
notices metallic liquid on the floor - a betrayer is nearby.
The Cleo's stay behind whilsy Sarge and Hel close in on the betrayer.
Hel tells voice to set the neutron curtain, which will activate
when the betrayer gets into range. However the betrayer remains
motionless, so Sarge jumps out and gets its attention and draws
it to the neutron curtain. The betrayer is weaken and the battle
begins. Hel and Sarge lead the betrayer back to the lab, where the
plan an assault, the betrayer enters and battle ensues. The battle
is going nowhere so Cleopatra and the betrayer cleo begin to confuse
the betrayer. Which cleo does the betrayer want? The betrayer begins
to fire at both Cleo's, when suddenly betrayer cleo changes her
arms into guns and fights the betrayer one on one. Both betrayers
lock on to one another and fire. The weaken betrayer is destroyed,
and the betrayer cleo is sent flying across the lab. Cleopatra tries
to get her to heal herself, but she has no power left. The betrayer
cleo thanks the team and dies.
