LIST EPISODE 8 - CHOICES
A group of men are being attacked by a betrayer. Hel, Cleo and Sarge
are sent to investigate the apparent vanishing of the team leader.
They land at the co-ordinates that Voice has given them, but there
is obvious way in. Sarge begins blasting at a wall when the floor
starts to disappear, the three of them fall down into a snowy village.
The Village and its environment is an A.S.E [Artificial Service
Environment], one of a few levels that can support this feature.
After witnessing a lovely father daughter moment, Hel follows the
villages to a startling discovery. The body could be the team leader
but with all the villages around they can not begin there testing.
Cleo takes over using more 20th Ce TV knowledge clearing the onlookers
allowing Sarge and Hel to check the body. There is no voice unit
so the team leader may still be alive. The team begin to sweep the
area.
Hel and Cleopatra come across a group of people dancing the...Macarena,
the only dance to survive from the 20th Century. However this version
is called the Conupa. Cleo joins the group and begins talking to
a young girl and makes a comment about how she admires her nice
shoes, to which the young girl replies that her father got them
for her on one of his long journeys. The father is aggravated by
Cleo's comments are interrupts her asking whether she has come to
teach them how to dance the Conupa.
Meanwhile Sarge is conducting her own investigation and has picked
up some movement. Suddenly she is attacked from behind, just as
she is about to kill her attacker, she realises that he is the team
leader. Sarge takes the team leader back to Hel and Cleo who give
him limited health checks. Voice orders them all to leave. The team
leader refuses, he seems to know who the betrayer is. It is down
to three people, Hel cuts in saying it is Alexis [the girl with
the shoes] father. They all leave, but part way the team leader
disconnects himself and heads back down to face the betrayer. Hel,
Sarge and Cleo follow.
When the family returns home, the father makes some excuse to make
his wife and child leave, then the battle begins. Unfortunately
The team leader runs out of ammo, and the betrayer takes the advantage
and kills him. Hel crashes through the window and continues the
battle. Soon she has the betrayer on the ground. The betrayer begins
to plead, explaining that he still feels love for his family. Hel
is acceptable to this due to the death of her father, however it
is all a lie, and the betrayer captures Hel. Fortunately Sarg is
on hand to finish the job. The whole chain of events brings back
memories of Hel's own father.
