Capcom VS SNK 2 Game basics
Capcom VS SNK 2 can be played with one of 6 Grooves. A Groove reflects the abilities your character can do; abilities such as Air Blocking, safe fall and more. Picking the right Groove for your play style is very important.
GROOVE SELECT:
Before selecting your characters, you are prompted to choose your Groove Select. This is basically choosing between the rules fo Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 3, KoF, KoF '98, or Samurai Showdown. Damage Rating is measured on a scale of 1-10.
C Groove: Level 1: 3, Level 2: 5, Level 3: 6
-Super Bar has three levels
-Super Bar doesn't go down
-Super Attacks take either one level or more depending on button used
-WP/WK = level 1, MP/MK = level 2, HP/HK = level 3
-Charge bar by attacking and defending
-No Desperation Attack
-Air Blocking
-Guard Cancel
-Dash
-Delayed Stand

-Super Bar has two levels
-Level one super only
-Guard Cancel
-Safe Fall
-Running
-Forward Evade
-Custom Combo
P Groove: 5
-One Super Meter
-Level three supers only

S Groove: 10
-Super Bar has one level
-Once Super Bar is charged, it slowly decreases until used or empty
-Super Attack automatically drains Super Bar.
-Charge bar by attacking, defending, and holding down both Strong buttons
-Desperation Attacks (can do a Super when your life bar is almost empty)
-Dash
-Small Jump
-Dodge
-Guard Cancel
-Delayed Stand
N Groove: 9
-Super Bar has three levels

K Groove: 7
-Super Bar has one level

-Filling up meter enters you in RAGE Mode

-Enhanced attack for limited time
-Just Defended
-Fills Super Bar and health slitely
As the Grooves reflect the different game play styles their are moves specific to each Groove.

MAX Mode (N Groove only) HP + HK
GCE (N Groove only) LP + LK during block
Charge-Up (S Groove only) hold HP + HK
Custom Combo (A Groove only) HP + HK
Parries (P Groove only) Forward or Down just before being hit
Just Defended (K Groove only) block just before being hit
Taunt hold LK, press Start
Throw HP or HK up close
Guard Cancel f + MP + MK
