I had two working days to come up with a suitable idea and model and render it. As if that was not enough I had to compose suitable music to fit the animation. The scene consists of 7 objects; 5 of those objects are the globes. The globe is made up of 3 different spheres.
Sphere one has been mapped with an earth texture and the bump mapping is high to bring out the land and water masses, this small sphere is then placed in side a large sphere, with the same earth texture, but with a opacity of 60.
Finally the outside sphere has the same properties as the middle sphere but is rendered completely in wireframe. Animation was used for Farnborough College of Technology new service. |
